Campus Directors

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Campus Directors at Cochin, Mumbai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam in the Pay Band of 37400-67000/- with Grade Pay 10,000/- (or as per the rules prescribed by the UGC / Government of India), ON DEPUTATION failing which on DIRECT RECRUITMENT basis with all India transfer liability. The Campus Director is the Chief Executive of the Campus and reports directly to the Vice Chancellor of the Indian Maritime University, Chennai. Candidates serving in Central / State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies and Institutions under Central / State Governments may apply through proper channel.

Educational and other Qualification (Essential) :

1. Shall be an eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research, and
2. Ten years experience in cadre of Professor with Ph.D. degree and experience of having guided research at Doctoral level, and
3. The appointee must have a minimum period of 2 years of service after appointment.

Experience:
Deputation : Professors holding analogous post on regular basis in any recognized University Autonomous bodies/ Central / State Government Undertaking possessing qualifications as prescribed in column (a)

Age :

1. Direct Recruitment : Age not more than 55 Years. (See Col. D(ii) also).
2. Deputation: Age not applicable. For Maximum Age (See Col. D(ii) also).

Remarks

1. The appointment to the post of Director will be made for a period of 3 years on the recommendation of Selection Committee.
2. Maximum age will be 65 years in case of Director being academic staff, otherwise 60 years extendable up to 2 years, on case to case basis.

General Instructions :

1. Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre posts held in immediately preceding this appointment in the same other Organization / Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years or till the date of retirement or absorption whichever is earlier.
